The treatment of adolescent anxiety and depression with acupuncture

To get the most out of this course, we highly recommend that participants attend live. However, it will be recorded and the replay made available for anyone unable to attend live.

Adolescence can be a tumultuous time. Today’s teenagers face a unique set of challenges, which have become more complex since the pandemic.

During this online 1-day CPD course, we will look at:

  • The nature of adolescence from a Chinese medicine perspective
  • An exploration of the exponential rise in adolescent mental/emotional conditions from the Chinese medicine perspective
  • The practicalities of working with teenagers in the clinic
  • The treatment of mental-emotional conditions for which teenagers seek treatment, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders.

You will leave the course feeling confident to begin welcoming struggling teens into your clinic and to effectively support them during this potentially difficult time in their lives.

Please note, this day includes new material so you will gain from it even if you have attended Rebecca’s previous teenager CPD days.

Rebecca teaches paediatrics both at undergraduate and post-graduate level, in the UK, online and internationally. Her clinical work is solely with children, both in her private paediatric practice and a low-cost community clinic for children. She is the author of the textbook Acupuncture for Babies, Children and Teenagers, which is now used in colleges all over the world.  She has also written a book for parents and practitioners called Chinese Medicine for Childhood Anxiety and Depression. Rebecca is also the founder of The Hub Of Paediatric Acupuncture (www.paediatricacupuncture.com) – an online, worldwide community for paediatric acupuncturists. Rebecca is known for her clear and warm teaching, which is informed by her experience of working with hundreds of children and their families.
