Eligibility: CICM 2nd and 3rd year students and acupuncture graduates
There are many ways we might choose an acupuncture point; using 5 elements, 8 principles, stems and branches, intuition etc. In this workshop we will consider the patients past, present and unfolding future as a means of understanding how to find an appropriate point.
You will learn:
- New ways to look at some common as well as less commonly used points with emphasis on emotional and spiritual aspects of treatment
- To consider the patients time line
- The story of the ren mai points
The material will be illustrated using case histories of patients treated over many years.
Lorraine Spring trained in Five Element Acupuncture with J.R. Worsley and qualified in 1980. She subsequently learned TCM with the Journal of Chinese Medicine (JCM) course in 1982. She deepened this knowledge with seminars in Chinese studies with Claude Larre and Elisabeth Rochat de la Valle. In 1986, she moved to Switzerland where she practices and teaches 5 Element acupuncture to TCM practitioners and leads supervision groups. More recently Lorraine has lead public workshops using the 5 elements as a coaching model.
