Working with the Inner Doctor

Date(s): 11 April 2019

Time: 10am - 5pm

Eligibility: Graduates

Venue: College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading

Ever had a patient who has done unaccountably well - or one who just doesn’t improve in spite of your best efforts?  Perhaps the explanation for both of these common experiences lies in whether or not you were able to work with the patient’s inner doctor.

Many of the great acupuncturists, osteopaths and doctors say that it is not their needles, hands or drugs which do the work, but the patient’s own inner doctor.  What they don’t tell us  is how they evoke, encourage, stimulate and generally amplify its ability to heal.  In this workshop we will look at our successes and failures in the treatment room from this perspective  and explore some of the ways in which we acupuncturists can best contact and stimulate our patients’ inner doctors.
