Healing the eyes using acupuncture

Date(s): 18 May & 25 May 2017

Time: 10am - 5pm

Eligibility: Acupuncture graduates & 3rd year acupuncture students

Venue: College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading

The eye is a microcosm where qi, Blood and body fluids meet, where the shen shows, where poor vision can be analysed in terms of the Eight Principles and where the Five Elements show.

This seminar will be oriented towards clinical practice and conditions Julian will discuss include conjunctivitis, glaucoma, cross-eyed, corneal lesions, macular degeneration and retinitis pigmentosa

He will show how acupuncture can be of benefit in conditions which are labelled incurable in orthodox medicine

Sometimes very simple methods to bring qi to the eyes can save a person from going blind; at other times a mixture of orthodox medicine and acupuncture based on constitutional imbalances is needed

Julian Scott has practised Chinese medicine for 40 years and specialises in treating children and eye conditions. He is the author of Acupuncture for the Eyes, Healing the Eyes with Acupuncture (DVD) and co-author of Acupuncture in the Treatment of Children.
