The basic principles of tongue diagnosis will be discussed using up to 300 pictures of tongues. Tongue colour and shape will be of great importance during this session as both help to determine the patient’s constitution and disease pattern according to the Eight Principles. This will be followed by a discussion of common clinical tongue signs in relation to the five zang. The aim of this workshop is to enable the student to gain a greater confidence in evaluating the different tongue signs
Barbara Kirschbaum is a member of British Acupuncture Council and FMRCHM. She qualified in 1980 at ICOM, East Grinstead, England. She studied with Giovanni Maciocia, Ted Kaptchuk and Dan Bensky from 1978 until 1990 and from 1991 and 1997/98 in various internships at Chinese hospitals in Kunming, Tianjin and Chengdu. She has been lecturing on acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine all over the world for 27 years. Course fee£75 Refunds cannot be made unless at least two weeks notice is given.
