The concept of Luo – a link or connection – is fundamental to Chinese medicine, particularly within the Jing Luo meridian network, connecting two coupled meridians or a meridian with an organ or area, or filling the space between the surface and the depths of the body.
Peter Firebrace BAc MBAcC studied acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) in England, the European School of Acupuncture in France and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chengdu, China. He has also studied Chinese language and philosophy at the Ricci Institute in Paris. Past Principal of ICOM, he is a co-founder of Monkey Press, publishing the Chinese Medicine from the Classics series. Co-author of A Guide to Acupuncture, he has produced educational DVDs on The Roots of Chinese Medicine and The Body Map of Chinese Medicine, and a book of poems entitled Cloud Falls Rap. He teaches widely in Europe and practises acupuncture in London. Course fee£75 Refunds cannot be made unless at least two weeks notice is given.
