Event description

Sarah BuddA one-day seminar on using Chinese medicine to move smoothly through the medical minefield of assisted conception, with Jill Glover at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading.

Jill specialises in using Chinese medicine to treat gynaecological conditions including fertility issues – her first IVF baby is now at university! In this seminar she will draw on her considerable experience to impart an in-depth understanding of the complex problems inherent in treating patients before, during and after assisted conception.

Topics for the day

>  Patterns of disharmony emerging during infertility testing and treatment
>  Treating women before, during and after assisted conception
>  The importance of treating couples
>  Maintaining pregnancy
>  What treating infertility and assisted conception means to us as practitioners
>  What women really go through with assisted conception

To facilitate our understanding of these issues, we will explore aspects of:

>  appropriate patent formulae
>  roles of the extra channels
>  male infertility
>  drug actions, and their Chinese medicine implications
>  assisted conception treatment protocols.

Jill Glover is passionate about using Chinese medicine to help smooth the many transitions in women's lives. She has a busy practice in Bristol where she specialises in gynaecological issues and uses acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
