Clinical study trip to Guangzhou, China Autumn 2008

Tony Booker led a successful three-week trip for practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine which included two weeks’ clinical experience in one of China’s most modern hospitals where participants had the opportunity to treat patients under the watchful eye of senior TCM doctors, and lectures from hospital staff.

Event description

martin powell.jpgIncrease your success in treating musculo-skeletal pain and related conditions by incorporating this useful adjunct therapy in your practice, with Martin Powell at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading.

Neuromuscular taping is an ideal adjunct therapy for acupuncturists. It can reinforce your acupuncture treatment and increase your success in treating musculo-skeletal pain and related conditions.

Originally developed in Japan for physiotherapists, neuromuscular taping assists with pain relief and healing by actively resolving stagnation in the joints and tissues. It does this without the use of herbs, relying solely the mechanical properties of special tape.

Designed to be applied to patients at the end of a session and to stay on for several days thereafter, neuromuscular tape delivers immediate results with high levels of patient satisfaction.

Topics for the day
>  How to apply neuromuscular tape correctly
>  How to use neuromuscular tape for conditions including arthritis, RSI, sciatica, migraine and back pain
>  How to integrate neuromuscular taping into your existing practice

Martin Powell trained in neuromuscular taping in the UK and Spain and has integrated it with his TCM background to develop this one-day introductory workshop for acupuncturists and other non-physiotherapists.
