Event description

shelle_rose_charvet.jpgLearn strategies and ways of talking which will help your patients embrace change
and get well, with Shelle Rose Charvet at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading.

Experienced acupuncturists know that each patient can help or hinder in her or his own healing. What if you could focus your patient’s attention on the strategies that will help them get the best results, by identifying what each person needs and then adapting the words that you use?

Each person has their own specific triggers around wellness and illness. This program will teach you how to recognise and utilise what motivates your patients in these very important contexts. Specifically, you will learn to:
>  identify what is important to your patient about his or her own health
>  understand and work with proactive or reactive behaviour
>  use the strengths of a problem solving orientation vs a goal orientation
>  increase your impact with people who decide for themselves and those influenced by external factors
>  say the right thing to those who prefer to many alternatives vs those who prefer to follow a process
>  reduce resistance to personal change.

By the end of this workshop, you will have the tools you need to understand your patience motivation or lack thereof, to heal. You will also be able to adapt your approach, using language, to help direction the attention of your patients to their own benefit.

Shelle Rose Charvet is known around the world for her ground-breaking work in understanding and impacting the below-conscious motivation that enables people to overcome obstacles and attain their goals.
Shelle works with organisations and individuals around the world to understand their most difficult persuasion challenges. She is a certified trainer of neuro-linguistic programming, and the originator of the LAB Profile Consultant/Trainer Certification Program. Her training sessions are dynamic, practical and tailormade for each group for whom she works.
