Event description
Exercises and discussion to explore ways to nourish our lives, with Sandra Hill at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading.
The sheng or generation cycle of the Five Elements is based on the cyclical movement of the four seasons and this rhythm underlies the principles of nourishing life.
We will look at the formation of these ideas from ancient China to their culmination in the early chapters of the Neijing Suwen. Guided by these texts we will use exercise and discussion to explore ways to embody the philosophy of nourishing life.
Benefit from Sandra’s 30 years experience of qi work and her study of the Chinese classics which will enable you to maximize the effects of your Chinese medicine practice both within daily life and individual treatments.
Sandra Hill studied acupuncture and anma-doin in Japan before graduating from the International College of Oriental Medicine. She has worked for over 20 years with Claude Larre and Elisabeth Rochat de la Vallée on the Chinese classical texts, and is co-founder and current director of Monkey Press. She is the author of A Guide to Acupuncture, Reclaiming the Wisdom of the Body and Oriental Paths to Health.
