Event description

Explore treatments for patients experiencing disturbed emotional wellbeing with Elisa Rossi at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading.

In this seminar Elisa will discuss some classical syndromes such as zangzao (agitation of the organs), bentunqi (running piglet) and diankuang (madness). She will compare them with modern definitions like anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and psychotic outbursts. She will also go through some treatments for these conditions including ‘shen axis’ points used to regulate the emotions. She will put the conditions into the context of patient case histories. Participants are welcome to bring their own cases for further discussion. Elisa will also present classical descriptions and modern interpretations of hun and po.
