Event description
Develop your awareness of qi in yourself and your patients with Bill Ryan at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading.
Can you feel and assess the state of your own qi? Can you differentiate between your and your patients’ qi? Can you use your feeling awareness to help you better locate your patients’ acupuncture lines and points? Can you assess directly the state of the qi in a channel, such as its fullness or emptiness? Bill will teach you exercises that can enable you to say yes to these questions. You’ll also learn a framework to help you organise and interpret your and your patients’ experiences. Anyone with an interest in qi is welcome. This course will prepare you for two more advanced seminars with Bill called The Art of Projecting Qi and The Art of Using Qi to Sense Qi in Others.
Bill Ryan has studied qi gong, tai chi, and related energy arts for 29 years with Daoist Lineage Master Bruce Frantzis. In 1992 Bill founded Brookline Tai Chi near Boston, USA which under his direction reached a peak enrollment of over 450 students. He now teaches qi gong and practises qi gong tui na bodywork.
