Event description
A one-day seminar for acupuncturists, qi gong teachers, Dragon and Tiger qi gong practitioners and others with an interest in qi, with Bill Ryan at 21 South Street Arts Centre, Reading.
Once you have learned how to feel and project qi, you can begin to learn how to feel more deeply within your own or another person’s body and how to move or otherwise affect the qi there. A key challenge is to be able to do this with clarity and stability over a sustained period of time. To develop this skill Bill will teach how to use your hands to project qi into your own or another’s body in order to detect specific locations. He will teach how to feel with clarity the wei qi body layer and specific acupuncture channels and points, and how to push and pull energy into, through, and from such locations.
Prerequisite: Completion of 'The art of projecting qi' and 'The art of safeguarding your qi with Dragon and Tiger qi gong' seminars, or permission of instructor based on equivalent experience and skill.
Bill Ryan has studied qi gong, tai chi, and related energy arts since 1980 with Daoist Lineage Master Bruce Frantzis. In 1992 Bill founded Brookline Tai Chi near Boston, USA which under his direction reached a peak enrollment of over 450 students. He now teaches qi gong and practises qi gong tui na bodywork.
